As the Sands Burn vs. One Life to Live
 

Greetings Ladies:

I was reading in another forum and came across a discussion on the Internet soap opera, As the Sands Burn. I decided to read it for myself and see what it was about. I'm hooked! As a college student, I find it entertaining to read about the fictional lives of these characters.

I'm interested in knowing if anyone else reads the soap opera and your opinions. The new Bet.com version also adds different twists to the storyline.

Since I've been home for the summer, my interest in the television soap opera, One Life to Live, has picked up. So I started thinking...my questions are:

Who do you think is more deceitful?
Mona (ATSB) or Lindsay (OLTL)?

Who do you think is most gullible?
Alexis (ATSB) or Laney (OLTL)?

I can't really go into One Life To Live because I don't, and have never, whatched it. But I am a HUGE fan of As the Sands Burn. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif I have been reading all summer long.

And YES, Mona is devious. Linsay will have to be one hard B---h to beat out Mona!

ive been reading the soaps on both but mostly the one AS the sands Burn which has made my blood boil as if its a real story. I really hope i do not incounter any Monas in my life cause id beat her down like PJ... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif..LOL

As the Sands Burn is the best soap I've read so far (too much drama http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif )!

Is it just me, or has the NewSoap not been updated for about a week or so? I'm anxious to know what happens to Mona and PJ!!

As the Sands Burn and One Life to Live are the bomb! Although I frequent ATSB more. However I think Lindsay is more triflin than Mona.. But Mona is getting there. And Mona aint the only triflin one, Caryn (ATSB) is too and I'm not a big fan of Nora (OLTL) either.

Someone mentioned ATSB before under the topic "Are You Ready to Cry...". I skimmed over it in haste, but couldn't get into it. Well, since it was mentioned again, I went back and reviewed old episodes and now, I'm hoooooked!

ATSB is the bomb! My friend who is an Alpha told me about it. All I can say is wow! That Mona girl is a trip! I've got several of my friends reading it now. And I agree that Caryn is getting to be as bad as Mona. Oh and let's not forget about Trina and Ronnie scheming(sp?) on Bobby and Alexis! Whoo, so much drama, so little time!!

Has anyone else noticed that on the original ATSB it seems as if Bobby is still playing games on Alexis, yet wants her back? While on BET, they make it seem as if he's head over heels and tired of playing the game? Or is it just me? ZChi, Ronnie is getting kinda desperate...I can't wait to see how Trina works herself out of that particular problem she's ran up on now. I just can't BELIEVE how devious Mona is! Now that I've vented....

Cookee, I wonder what Trina is gonna do myself. And she's still not pregnant...how the heck is she gonna pull that one off? I noticed the difference between the two as well. Also, the BET version is kinda off w/ respect to Mona crossing and all. I think they've kinda caught up now though. Yes, Ronnie is definitely getting desparate. Man, Alexis must be DA BOMB if he's all up the closet trying to get actual evidence that Bobby is cheating still. Does anyone know when they are going to post the new one on Skeephi?

I'm still trying to decipher if I've missed something. What's up with the 2 endings for Mona's initiation? Which one is real, did her mom welcome her with open arms, or did she bust her?

And be honest,.... how many people did a "search" (top left hand corner of this screen) on the user name AKAlade?

The real ending was the one where Mona crossed and her mother got there too late. I was confused by the other endings also. They were doing that just to show you how things COULD'VE ended up. I thought it was a nice touch. I don't know what Mona's mom can say or do now, but it'll be interesting to see how she handles her. :-) I never thought about doing the search on the name Akalade. Did you find anything?

ZChi, I'm hoping the new episode will be up on Skeephi this week.
