Serenading?

Hi, guys!

I have a question for anyone-do Sigs still serenade? To make a long story short, I stayed at my campus after my beau transferred. Then, he lavaliered me. I was anticipating getting a song or two from the Sigs, but that never happened. Plus, the guys refused to even really acknowledge me on campus, etc. Through some connections, I was told that they never serenade girls. That seems odd to me...any insights? Just curious as to why I missed out on something every sorority girl loves to have happen. (Oh yeah, we have since become engaged! YAY! But I graduated, so nothing can happen now, I suppose.?

Greek love,
CC

I go to school at Pitt St in Kansas, and we still go around and sing songs. Usually after formal pinning and then we sing to our sweetheart at parties and sing drinking songs

hey

i go to Northern Arizona and we still serenade. We have a tradition where our pledge class steals standards from sororities and then we have to arrange to sing to them and meet. usually the class rewords songs to have the sorority name in there. Then, we also serenade our sweethearts at formals and important nights. Sad to see that our other chapters dont -- like you said, it gets the girls good!

Congrats on your enagement. On of our alumni recently got married and all the Brother who attended sung the Sweetheart of Sigma Chi to the Bride. It was ncie and made for a great impact and memory for the Bride. Good luck!

Brandon
