Poems are a big thing in my chapter so let me post some that I have used for things. Actually the one called If I Could I has been passed down in my family as has A Promise To You...

Sisters are not always those
whose parents are the same
Sisters are not just the ones
who share the same last name,
It's not hard to understand
you'll know them when you find
That special smile, that timely word,
that deed that was so kind.
The sisters of the flesh are
ours to cherish, help, love.
But sisters of the spirit, too,
are sent from above.
Its chance that makes us sisters.
Its love that makes us friends!

My Sister Is...
someone who helps me find my smile.
Who accepts me for what I am.
who lets me know that my efforts
really are worthwhile, and that
my accomplishments are worthy ones.
She lets me know that she will
catch me if I fall. She's so much
more wonderful than she will admit
to being. She watches out for me
and helps me through it all...
My Sister Is...
someone I'm very
proud to be related to.
Having her as such a special
part of my family has given me
memories that I wouldn't trade for
anything and hopes that I'll have for
when the two of us are far away from
each other, our thoughts will make sure
we stay together.
My Sister Is...
a person who is great to have around.
She's someone who laughs at my jokes
(maybe because she has the same warped
sense of humor!) and she understands
the times when I need a shoulder to cry
on. She is there for me in the exact
same way that I will always be there
for her. Our friendship will always
remain, and our love will never depart.
My Sister...
deserves to know that even though I
don't always get a chance to show it,
she is absolutely essential to the
happiness... that lives within my heart.

My sister is my heart.
She opens doors to rooms
I never knew were there,
Breaks through walls
I don't recall building.
She lights my darkest corners
With the sparkle in her eyes.

My sister is my soul.
She inspires my wearied spirit
To fly on wings of angels
But while I hold her hand
My feet never leave the ground.
She stills my deepest fears
With the wisdom of her song.

My sister is my past.
She writes my history
In her eyes I recognize myself,
Memories only we can share.
She remembers, she forgives
She accepts me as I am
With tender understanding.

My sister is my future.
She lives within my dreams
She sees my undiscovered secrets,
Believes in me as I stumble
She walks in step beside me,
Her love lighting my way.

My sister is my strength
She hears the whispered prayers
That I cannot speak
She helps me find my smile,
Freely giving hers away
She catches my tears
In her gentle hands.

My sister is like no one else
She's my most treasured friend
Filling up the empty spaces
Healing broken places
She is my rock, my inspiration.
Though impossible to define,
In a word, she is...my sister.

I'll be right here,
To chase away the sadness,
And wipe away a tear.

And hear what's on your mind.

A Promise To You

You are wonderful to me,
I’m glad you are my friend.
Hopefully forever,
Until the end.

You make me feel special,
With all that you do.
It makes me feel so lucky,
Every time I’m around you.

You are there for me,
Through the good and bad.
It makes me happy,
Like I could never be sad.

I just want to thank you,
For everything you do.
I promise someday,
I’ll do the same for you.

If I Could

If I could catch a rainbow,
I would do it just for you
And share with you its beauty
On the days you’re feeling blue.

If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own
A place to find serenity
A place to be alone.

If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea.
But all these things I’m finding
Are impossible for me.

I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair.
But let me be what I know best
A friend that will always care.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance.
They awaken us to understanding with the passing whispers of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we can never, ever be the same.

I Am Honored To Call You My Sister

I know that I can trust you
with my most cherished treasures,
with my heart and soul, and
with every secret I hold.
I know that you will listen
without criticizing me for my mistakes.
You hear what I am trying to say,
even when I fail to express myself clearly.
I know that I can believe you
without worrying that you will mislead me
because you are honest with me,
even when honesty means disagreement.
I know that you will accept me,
despite every wrong turn I've made.
You simply love who I am.
I know that our hearts are connected
on the deepest level.
You know me so well;
Your insight and your view of me
make me feel so complete.
I know that I am special
because you are so special.
I am proud of our friendship and
the strength we have together.
I am honored to call you my sister
and fortunate to call you my friend.
