Missing Pref
Arrrghhh!!!
Because we decided to have a Panhellenic BBQ, actual Recruitment parties don't start until Tuesday, instead of Monday. Right now I am very on the fence about staying on the soccer team, and Pref is Thursday night. Thursday night is also the night of our first game in Jacksonville. This would mean missing Pref and not singing for the first time ever. It's also my last one as a collegiate. Stupid Panhellenic BBQ. Stupid soccer. :( |
aaaaw!
what position to you play? how huge is it that you are there? i mean there are priorities....
:) |
Actually, I'm Chaplain. But if I missed a game I'd totally be off the team.
This is why I'm not sure I want to stick with soccer. It might mean giving up a lot of things that are really important for me, for possibly no playing time. But the coach will lie and tell me that I'm going to play, even if I won't. :( Edit: D'oh, I'm so stupid. I thought you meant sorority position. I really don't know where I'm going to play... I'm one of those "can play anywhere" people, but my specialty is center midfield. |
my thought was wide open....what is important to you? is soccer a scholarship thing? i applaud you as chaplain. figure out what works and see if the coach will cut you any slack. if not, where is your heart? i can't begin to tell you that.

I totally feel your pain !!! I have had scheduling problems a lot too and all I can say is weigh the pros and cons and make the decision that is best for you. It *seems* to me that missing soccer is going to cause more long term problems not being on the team at all I mean missing pref isn't going to get you dropped from the chapter... so although missing pref SUCKS... it *seems* to me if soccer is important to you at all, you need to go to that game... but if it's something that you don't really want to do anymore... then go to pref. I'M SORRY you have to make this decision... but do what you feel is right whatever you do it will be becuse you wanted to do it, so don't feel bad you did it because it was best :)

Sigh... mostly it puts a lot of pressure on me to make a decision about soccer.
I guess I'm just going to have to stick out the first 3 weeks of pre-season and if it sucks that bad, I'll be quitting. I love soccer and I've always wanted to play varsity soccer for my school, but I'm not sure if this is the way I wanted to do it. Luckily, scholarship money isn't a consideration, and I know I'm not going on to play for the national team or anything. |
