Sixth Senses
 

Do any of you sense things that many others do not? Have a well developed intuition? See auras around people? Or, EXTREMELY attentive to your original five senses (example: smelling things several minutes before everyone else do)?

Okay, this is wierd.

I am hard-of-hearing... significantly enough to be a hassle, yet not bad enough to impair my conversational skills much.

But... I am always the one that hears things other people don't. Like a car pulling up to the house. Or someone coming up our stairs. Just last night, I was standing with my fiance in the kitchen, and I heard someone talking. He thought it was the TV, so I turned it off and I still heard it (he didn't). As I got closer to him, it got louder.... and it turned out his cellphone accidentally dialed voicemail and was reading off all his messages.

Just wierd things like that.

I think I do, but I don't think anyone ever believes me.

I have dreams that foretell the future. Usually it's only stuff that really impacts my life. I had one where I was sitting in my front room with a guy I didn't know. It turns out, the guy was my boyfriend from a year later. The event happened. The same happened for my first day of college and when my current boyfriend broke up with me. I get a feeling of dejavue, and the dream comes back to me.

I think it's cool, even if no one thinks I do it!

when im driving i have a sense of when the traffic will get bad and where, and where cops are, which helps alot when you drive a mustang

Ginger, I have the same problem! A lot of times I have to ask people to repeat themselves (maybe it's not my hearing...maybe I just don't listen!), but little sounds that other people don't even hear really annoy me. For example, my computer monitor makes a high-pitched whining noise, and it drives me INSANE, but no one else but my younger sister notices it.

I also seem to smell things other people don't. Maybe it's my overactive imagination.

i have the hearing thing too.

i'm also really good at judging people when i first meet them. i've met friends of my dad and my brothers and my sister and really disliked them from the first time i meet them and everyone else will love them. then a couple months later they do something really mean or go behind my friend/family member's back or it turns out they were just using whoever, and then i always am informed i'm a good judge of character. unfortunately that never ever works when i'm making friends or going on a date. i wish it did.

I have really strong intuition. I can read people right away and I honestly can't think of a time when my initial assessment of their character hasn't been right in the end. I enjoy reading peoples' Tarot spreads for them and have often used that medium to help them solve problems or head them off before they become bigger problems.

Oddly enough, I can't read my own cards though.

I see dead people.
