A CD Review: Amel Larrieux
 

What's up Pretty Ladies, I was just posting this topic cause I saw you guys talking about Kelly Price. I must say that Kelly's CD is the bomb!

Anyway, I am posting about the CD "Infinite Possibilites" by Amel Larrieux. If you don't know who she is, she used to sing as part of the group Groove Theory. If you remeber Groove Theory, they had that hit single "Tell Me". And you remember the guy Bryce Wilson from the Toni Braxton video "You Makin Me High". He was the one that was in the scene where she was in the tub.

Any Amel's CD is the bomb. A lot of people are sleeping on it though cause her music is not the typical music out there. She's on some other stuff. I mean she talks about love and relationships on some tracks too however, she's not like other singer who sum love up into just the act of sex. She's on a spiritual level. Her music is good for the mind and soul. The title track is proof of this. So are her tracks "InI" and "Searching for My Soul". So I say all of this to encourage you to take a chance. WAKE UP! Take the risk and I'm sure you will enjoy it. It's a very calm and soothing CD. Take care Ladies

Amiel Larrieux came to Charlotte a few months ago and I was lucky enough to see her in person. Her music is very smooth and mellow. Definitely a must buy!

I know her work from Groove Theory...actually I have that CD...it wss good. I will check it out!

I missed her, here at Essence. I was into the "Big" stars....

Hello Ladies of AKA and Sfs:

Amel's CD is the BOMB!!!! With a capitol "B"

I've had it for a few months now and I bump it ALL THE TIME.

I would say this is a must have for those who like mellow grooves and who liked Groove Theory.

Anoother bomb artist is Jill Scott her album titled "Who Is Jill Scott) JUST came out and is BOMB. I saw her live here in Los Angeles. She wrote several of Eryka Badhu's songs and has that same kind of flow.
