Martin's E True Hollywood Story

Premieres Sunday night on "E". If I'm not mistaken @ 9 ET.

Uhhhh.....

Wasn't the movie Runteldat supposed to circumvent the need for an E! True Hollywood Story?

I remember Martin saying the reason he is telling his story is because he didn't want an E! True Hollywood Story on his "adventures" as a celebrity.

Well, I suppose E!THS will serve as the antithesis of Runteldat

We'll see...

Actually he either his E True Hollywood Story was on right around the time as Runteldat, or it was his Biography on A&E.

RM, I'm sure that Martin was being facetious. Plus, E will probably go a little DEEPER than he did with Runtledat. Runteldat wasn't anything to tell, IMO. E probably will get his teachers, childhood friends, ex-girlfriends, etc to give the "low down". Also, in the ads I think they have the "911" call when he went "off".

If I'm not mistaken E says the "premiere".

That's cool if it states 'premier' then it was Biography, because I know I saw something on him right around the time that Runteldat was out, and they did interivew his brother, and I think one of his sisters. It was really good.

I remember what I saw his life on, it was on of those VH-1 specials. Remember how they use to have those, ok, I'm cool now because this was driving me crazy, cuz I knew I had seen something on him. Also in the VH-1 special they interviewed one of his high school teachers from B-more and he told her that if he ever made it, he would buy her a car, and guess what, he did.
The E special should be good, because the VH-1 special was really good.

CRACK IS WACK!

No, Martin isn't on crack. I just wanted to have a word to rhyme with "wack." :D

Anyway, the E! THS was wack! There was NOTHING new presented in the show. I mean, everything that they said had already been in the press and there was no inside scoop. Martin pretty much killed that one for them by coming out with "Runteldat." He gave us all the info that we needed from a FIRSTHAND point. E! just showed a few pictures and had an interview from a "friend" and that's all. They didn't really dig into him like other shows. I was disappointed with that episode.

I agree! I felt really shafted and I definately expected more! It also seems as though alot of people criticizied him more than told his story.

It wasn't good at all. I wanted to get more scoop on the Martin/Gina situation. All Tichina could say was that they both were hurt...Nooooooooooo!

Doesn't Martin's ex-wife sort of look like Tisha?

Where is Tommy? not Tommy Davidson.

That's the same thing I was thinking 2D. They did not shed light on anything new. I wanted to know how Martin gets along with his ex-wife's hubby, Emmitt Smith, since she more than likely has custody of their (she and Martin's) daughter.

Speaking of Tommy Davidson, his little clip was all out of place. Where did they find him? As for Tommy from the show, he fell off after NY Undercover went belly up. Tichina looks bad. I mean, she is not ugly, but all that dark lipliner and eyeliner takes away from her already less than stellar appearance.

I, too, wanted more insight on the Martin/Gina incident. "They were both really hurt..." What the hayle happened? If you're gonna tell the TRUE Hollywood Story, tell it ALL!

kiml122 07-28-2003 03:20 PM

Even on Biography when they did his story, they really didn't dwell on the Tisha/Martin thing. In biograhy they actually spoke more to him and his family as well. I have digital cable and I looked at some of the Biography show the other day when I couldn't figure out where I had seen something on him. I thought the Biography showing was better.

I was hoping that they would've elaborated more on the Martin/Tisha incident, but they dissapointed us by not telling exactly what took place. The whole show was a big waste, cuz nothing new was revealed to us.

CrimsonTide4 07-28-2003 06:21 PM

very much a waste of time. I would have liked MORE on him and Tisha. Most E! True Hollywoods are 2 hours long. Why did they not interview Martin's mom, siblings, ex-wife, Tisha, Carl Payne, etc. etc. Hell interview Kid 'n' Play.
