Dilemma!
 

ok I am sure I will get slack from someone for even asking this, but I have a dilemma.

Some of you may know (although I am sure most of you don't) that I LOVE American Idol. Like, LOVE it. I also am a trained singer. So when I heard they were going ahead with American Idol 3, I was ecstatic. HOWEVER, the closest audition date (Atlanta) falls on the Wednesday of rush week! This is seriously something I feel an extreme desire to do, however it is too late to put in excuses and the fee is $200 if I dont show up that day. Not only that, but I would HATE to let down my sisters, though most of them know how badly I want to audition.

what would you do?

are there any auditions around the area that take place at a later date?

that way you can still audition and attend rush parties too! :)

Alright I may have just foudn the answer to my own problem.. Suppossedly they will release more dates later this month... hopefully a Miami date?

Just keep in mind that auditions are never a sure thing. Fines are. The choice is yours to make.

Girrrrl!!!! I bet they'll do a Miami date, they have on the last two (haven't they??). Boy oh boy, I hope things work out for you and you getta go....

Be sure to bring people with you!! We were sceeming about how to get one of our sisters on that show, and still make her look pretty after camping outside in line. Get some dedicated friends to camp out for you to get a good spot in line, and then you go to the hotel and sleep and get dressed and stuff, then come meet back up with your friends. That way, you look more refreshed and cleaned than the people who sat outside camping all day/night.

Just be sure that when you become rich and famous to buy these dedicated people new cars. hahahaa


(PS - I would wait for a later date. Your dreams are important of coarse, but just like you'd want your chapter to be there for you, they want you to be there for them.)

If the only audition you could possibly attend is during rush week, I think you should still go for it. It's probably a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I would think that your sisters would be supportive of you as you pursue your dreams! :)

I have to agree. Rush is very important, but if this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, they should understand and support you!

Talk to whoever is in charge of excuses, your President, etc. And tell them that if you do become the American Idol, you'll be glad to pay the fine. ;)
