The Alpha Phi Image
I have a question: do any of you think there's an Alpha Phi "image"? I'm not talking about physical image or campus reputation, but is there something about Alpha Phi that makes you or others say "Yes, that's Alpha Phi"?

I think it depends on the campus, but I know at San Francisco State, Alpha Phi's are known as the "fun" sorority girls. So like, if you talk about a party thrown by a phi's you are going to or Phi's you are hanging out with, everyone else will know you are going to have a bomb ass time!
And then, me being the dork that I am, every time I see Ivy plants I squeal and start singing "my love is alpha phi". My non-greek best friend thinks I'm crazy. |
I agree with that it depends on the campus. I think on our campus we have a good reputation even though some people think that just because we aren't the BIGGEST on campus yet or that we don't hang out with certain boys we don't have a good reputation. The thing is that the fraternity on our campus loves us and hangs out with us all the time!! We aren't hated by anyone on campus not sororities or fraternities which makes us have a good reputation. Even non-greeks really like us because they agree we aren't fake like other sororities :-D
However, i have friends that go to other schools and i know alpha phi's from other schools and sometimes i'm a bit disappointed because i hear they have a not so good reputation or those Alpha Phi's represent greek life differently than the greek life at st marys. St marys is small and our greek life is like no one else's i don't think that it's a bad thing thought because i'm very happy with my sisters from all different chapters. I think overall we have the reputation of being fun girls and outgoing... the kind of girls that boys want to hang out with and girls want to be a part of. I have a friend who is not greek and she still thinks we are awesome!! |
