Key west hotel recomendations???
 

I am heading to key west next month for a week... it is going to be a week of booz, babes, and fun in the sun. I cannot wait. We have booked a flight on orbitz, (we got a killer deal from jersey). the prob is that we dont have a hotel yet. I know a ton of you have been there, does anyone know of any fun places to stay... good pools, chill staff:cool: that kind of thing. We will probably book the hotel off orbitz because it will be cheaper than booking it direct, but we could really use the reccomendation (since we are all first timers) thanks for the help.

It all depends on your price range.

check out http://www.fla-keys.com/keywest/hotels.htm. Most of the hotels listed on there have websites. And you also might want to find out ahead of time if the hotel you choose is "gayfriendly" or not...it might make a difference to you.

Finally, whenever you travel, check out the hotel's reviews at a site like http://www.tripadvisor.com/

The Galleon is a fabulous place to stay!

Though I've only been to the Keys once, I have a few friends that have been...my understanding that everything/everyone is pretty accomodating and that the biggest problem is finding a hotel that's reasonably priced. If you've had such a good experience w/ orbitz for the flight, have you checked them out for hotels??

Yeah.. we just booked our hotel room in Miami from Orbitz, got a 4 star for $47/night. Try them!!

Are you kidding me?? I went to Miami for springbreak my freshman year...we payed like 3 times that for a hotel that was sooo far away from everything...my friend booked it though, I wonder where she booked it from.

I'm doing to travel reservations from now on.

You do NOT want to stay in Miami and drive to Key West on a daily basis.

I think I had a friend who stayed in a hostel there if you just want a place to crash and change clothes.

Also... if you go onto Orbitz.. they do a really good job listing all the hotels available and even showing pictures and details about the hotel...
