Sisterhood retreat -
 

Just curious, but what does your chapter do for sisterhood retreat?

Last Fall, on friday night we all played around in the chapter room (mostly activites to get the new girls and older girls better aquinted). Then Saturday, we all went tubbing down this river. It was fun. I was floating backwards and didn't see I was coming over a stick - and it snagging the bottom of my bikini and pulled them down. I was so emberresed. There were a few fraternities from our school having pre-rush parties with interested guys there that day too. I don't think anyone saw - but you should have seen my trying to paddle forward against the current trying to get my bottoms back. hahahaha

In the Spring, it was such a long long weekend. It was the weekend we initiated the Spring COB girls in March. So, that Friday night we had inspiration, and then Saturdya morning at 7:00am we had initiation for them. Then, at 2:00 that afternoon we all had to load up cars and drive about 45 minutes away to this church one of my sisters grandmother works out. We spent about 3 hours playing games taking turns making brail (sp) bibles. It was really interesting how they do it. Her grandmother spent 2 weeks preparing and making like 20+ different kinds of deserts. When we walked into the room in the rec center of the church - there were like 4 tables FULL of pies and cakes. Of coarse we decided we'd be polite and eat the cakes (yea right, we devoured them!!! hahaha).

That night we all set up sleeping bags in the rec center and had a fireside. Then our vp programming showed everyone this video she had been keeping secret. She collected 2 pictures from every girl - and then made a slideshow to music. There were like 200+ pictures so it was fun to watch. We also did senior skits where we all pretend to be a particular senior and pick fun at them by exxagerating their personalities.

The next day we woke up, drove back to the dorms. Slept, then had founder's day at 12:00. Let me tell you this weekend left us all exhausted.

We have a retreat shortly after rush, and I'd be happy to tell you about my most favorite activity...if you'd drop me a PM! I can't let JUST ANYONE know what we did! LOL!

We have had a new member retreat and 2 recruitment retreats.

Our new member retreat was in Phi Mu's chapter room (we didn't have a chapter room yet). We did get-to-know-you activites, did skits, a fireside and made lettered tshirts.

Our recruitment retreats were held at the Alabama 4-H center, and we practiced all of our recruitment stuff, plus learned a bunch of songs!

I really liked making the lettered t-shirts. It was a great way to meet each other (we would talk while cutting out letters) plus alot of fun!
