Reasons I love Delta Gamma
 

I stole this idea from the Phi Mu message board, but I thought it was really neat - so we should do it here:

Things I love about Delta Gamma...

- I love laughing and crying with my sisters at firesides.

- I love being in the mall and having women come up to me telling me that they are DG's too!

- I love all of DG's catchy songs that get stuck in my head (though sometimes I pretend not to like them - hey have you had do do do da wop wop stuck in your head before?!?!)

- I love that 30 sisters showed up at my dad's house to help clean on a school night when my mom was in the hospital.

- I love my sisters who came home from Spring Break to come to my mom's funeral.

- I love visiting other chapters - ESPECIALLY ETA - Akron!! And knowing that if I need ANYTHING, and I'm up that way, that the girls will be there for me!

- I love seeing random anchors places and being reminded that I am a member of one of the best sisterhoods in the world! I love Delta Gamma!

Okay ladies, start adding some of your own things you love about Dee Gee!

I love DG for many of the reasons you listed too.

I love how I have sisters in Germany that I can feel at home with and supported by being far away from home.

I love all of you on GC!

I love seeing anchors everywhere.

I love our colors

I love that our soul purpose for existance is friendship

I love that no matter where I go and what I do I will ALWAYS have a home! DG is best friends no matter where you go! :D :D

ps. I also love how the DGs were there for me in many ways when my mom died too. We have a lot in common

Our now our main mascot (the anchor) isn't a cute and furry animal, but I love what it means and stands for!

Even if my pin does get retired to a jewlery box as I get older - at least everytime I open it, I will see my anchor and remember to always keep the hope alive.

I love how everytime I want to revert to my old ways of partying to hard like I did in highschool, I just think of Delta Gamma and what it means to me. It makes me want to be a better person (and I know to a non-greek that douns silly, but you never want to disgrace something you love so much).

I love how all the DG GCers sent me a little PM about that one thread about wearing white. hahaha

I love having a nationwide family!! :) And I love our philanthropy (anchorsplash).

I wanted to thank CJ for posting this. I used it at my recruitment workshop last night and it went very well. I also read the examples from here ;)

But here are the reasons why I LOVE DG!

I love knowing that whatever I do after graduation I will have memories that will last a lifetime and friends(sisters) all around the world!

I love attending conferences and conventions and meeting DGs from other campuses!

I love firesides and candlelightings!!! We just had a candlelighting last night!!! Our VP Finance is engaged to her longtime high school sweetheart and FIJI boyfriend!!! Its about time!

I love wearing my letters and walking across campus because it is always great PR!

I love recruitment!!! I'm crazy I know (I am VP Membership though so I guess I have to be) but I absolutely love Bid Day when we get our new members and Rho Gams back. It was such an awesome sight when I was a Rho Gam and saw all my sisters waiting for me at the bottom of the steps!! I was just praying that I wouldn't fall down them cause I was so excited!!! :D

I love meeting all my GCers and especially love the fact that I have an awesome friendship with CJ from it!

I love the fact that I can always find someone to go out with me on Thursday and Saturday nights!

I could go on and on and on because I've got 4 years of love and lots more to come!

Wow Andrea! I'm so glad you were able to use it in your workshop! I bet it was great! DG has played a very important part in my life over the past year. I don't know what I would have done with out you girls!
