Hairstyle
Is it a bad idea to change my hairstyle before rush from the one thats in my pics? It wouldnt be a drastic change but could it hurt being recognized?
|
Well, that depends. I would generally advise against it because that is why the sororities ask for pics in the first place, to put a name with a face- to be able to recognize you. But if it isn't that drastic of a change and they would still be able to recognize you, go for it! Have a great rush!

As long as you're still easily recognizable as the girl in your pictures, you should be fine.

my hair's grown considerably since my senior portraits that i took in february.. and i've dyed it back to it's original color..
so is that going to be a problem? |
I'm going to go a little against the grain here and say that if you have a tired, old, hairstyle (like me!) and want to try something new and cute, go for it! If you state who you are, then I think they will be pleasantly surprised at your beautiful new style, as long as it's something positive.
I don't see why going back to your natural hair color would be so bad. It might throw them off at first if your senior portraits had you in bleach blonde hair and you have raven black hair, but it IS the real you. |
That's exactly the case astroAPhi!! lol..
should i send another picture in before rush? i've sent 2 in with the recs that people have written for me..one of which is a straight-forward head shot..so is there a chance that my hair color will make me stand out more? or is it more likely (in your opinion) that it will hurt me.. thanks gals amy |

So basicly, it is all organized to where when you walk through the door, most of the time you are meant to talk to that person. She's studied up on you - and knows you more by your name than your hair color. It might make you stand out a little more because she will tell everyone "So and So changed her hair color - so be on the lookout!" It might help people pay closer attention to you. hahhaa - I would change it. If you are ready for a new cut don't let the fact you already sent pictures scare you. A lot of girls change their hairstyles inbetween the time they graduate and go to college - just because they want a new look I guess. I wouldn't worry. They just like a picture to get a general idea of what to look for. Now, if you are getting a nose job and a face lift - that might be cause for concern. hahaha |
Thanks meridionaleDG for the help.. I'll remember that one about the plastic surgery.
