What Movie?

Okay, I am still planning Bid Day and I thought of a really neat idea. WE have a huge house and an even bigger backyard. My idea was to have a sleepoveri, instead of watching a moving in our informal, i think it would be great to use our backyard, by hanging up a sheet adn play a movie. The only question is what movie should we watch?

I'd go with a light comedy, preferably something that makes fun of sororities (Pumpkin, Legally Blonde, etc.). If you have famous actresses in your org, you could watch one of their movies. We always go for Ashley Judd movies for that reason.

DEF. Legally Blonde

Everyone loves that movie! Almost all my friends who've seen Pumpkin have hated it...even some of my friends in sororities have gone so far as to say they were actually insulted by the movie...i didn't think it was that bad...b/ you def. need to find a movie that mostly everyone is going to like. Maybe How to Loose A Guy in Ten Days...or Charlies Angles...ALWAYS A SAFE BET

Legally Blonde is definitely a good choice... I love the whole movie on a sheet under the stars idea, too!

Definitely not Pumpkin. What a weird movie.

Legally Blonde, The Wedding Singer...any good, cute comedy. Steel Magnolias and Terms of Endearment are great sister-bonding movies, but you don't want everyone to spend Bid Day crying their eyes out! ;)

I think Legally Blonde, or something like it, would be cute - and you could get Bid Day shirts that play off the movie - like Legally Gamma Phi. :)

You are not going to be able to get a first run movie to show and a majority of your new women may have already seen Legally Blonde. It will be a fun, new time for everyone so a light comedy is what you need.

Not to dampen your spirit but......outside, on a hot summer or early fall night, with a large group of women in a neighborhood with possibly private homes nearby?? Are the logistics reasonable for your area?

Yeah, I saw it and thought it was rather odd as well.
