Help!
Hello sorors! I'm in a bit of a weird situation. I joined the Beta Epsilon Omega grad chapter on Feb. 27, 2000. However, I accepted an internship recently in Bethesda, MD. with the National Cancer Institute. I have an aunt and uncle who live in the area but I don't know anyone else there. I was hoping to make contact with a few sorors. I'm confused as to whether I should go a head and join a grad chapter in the area. The last time I checked, there were 7 or 8 chapters in D.C. and the surrounding area. My internship lasts for six months. Do I join now or wait until the end of my internship and get a permanent job before I try to join? How do you choose a chapter when there are so many to choose from?
What's the best way to make connections with sorors if I don't join a grad chapter? I've only made baby steps into the world of AKA land and would obviously like to go farther. As you can see I'm confused and a little worried. I welcome your advice. Thanks! |
Soror CulturedPearl,
Don't worry. Soror Supermodel1908 is in a grad chapter in the DC area. Maybe you could send her an e-mail and get some advice from her. I wish you luck. Congratulations on the internship! |
