What I think You all Look Like

Thanks to the "What do you look like" thread, I know what a fair number of GreekChatters look like. As for the ones I don't, I've formed mental pictures of them in my mind. Kind of like I do when I'm reading a novel.

For instance, I picture DeltAlum as looking like Pierce Brosnan. Justamom is, I bet, a ringer for Candace Bergen. Although her self description is to the contrary, I picture Carnation as looking like the mom on Seventh Heaven (Maybe that's just because they both have large families, though!). For some reason, I picture AOPiAlum looking like the woman who plays Loralei Gilmore. I dunno, these just popped into my head and so I guess these folks are stuck looking like this in my mind!

i imagine james with a really big beer belly that sticks out of his shirt. he sits at the computer scatching between his toes with his girl's old nail file. :p :p kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i imagine texas princess looking like either rachael leigh cook or jennifer love hewitt.

i imagine arya looking like derek jeter....okay maybe that is a little much. its a nice thought though. no wait, i think he looks like ryan seacrest!!!;)

i was thinking DeltAlum looking like george clooney.

i think justamom looks like diane lane..very elagant and classy

Ha, I have mental pictures for most people on here, too, regardless of whether or not I've seen their real picture!

mmcat 07-07-2003 09:54 PM

that's a scary thought....
:D

33girl looks like Alanis Morrisette.

DeltAlum looks like William Shatner.

Tom Earp looks like Wilford Brimley.

AlphaGamDiva 07-07-2003 10:28 PM

yeah, and i have a pic of carnation, but due to her copyright laws, i don't dare post it! ;)

i have an image of more how ppl sound than how they look, i think....prob b/c most of the ppl i chat with on here i've seen their pics already. but i could def see deltalum as a pierce brosnan...lol

i opt to believe all the men without pics on here are brad pitt-esque.....don't crush my fantasy! :D

Rose and Smiley,

Thank you both very much. Those are both VERY flattering. If only either were true.

Closer to Clooney, but if I looked like anyone famous, it might be Phil Donohue -- lots of hair, although not yet as gray -- and no glasses. In younger years, a little like a young JFK -- again, the hair.

Although when I was in college, I did work at a TV station with George Clooney's father, Nick Clooney. And our best man was the director of the Phil Donohue Show for a while.

None of the looks rubbed off.

I don't really have a person in mind, but I would expect JAM to be VERY classy in looks and comportment. Which could fit Candace Bergan very well, come to think of it.

Because she has said she is "short," I think the Sally Field comparison might fit Carnation -- although I seem to remember that she is at least part Asian? Or am I thinking of someone else?

OK, how about Tom Earp, the ex-cop? How about Jerry Orbach, the older cop on Law and Order. (BTW, did anyone realize that Orbach won the Tony Award for best actor in a musical for Promises, Promises in 1967? First show I ever saw on Broadway)

OK, enough digression.

edited to add

Amazing how many more have posted while I wrote this. Thanks to you all.

Sorry, I had to come back.

I agree with you, Tom. Two of my favorites, also.

(Back to name dropping, sorry -- I guess all those years in TV allowed me to meet a lot of folks)

It just struck me as funny, reading the other posts from while I was writing my last that I actually met Jerry Orbach and Sally Field (I mean the Tom Earp and Carnation look-alikes) while they were traveling in a musical many years ago. They appeared on a talk show we were doing at the time.

I think of EagleChick as looking like Angelina Jolie (I have no idea why...)

I think of Digital as looking like Drew Barrymore with dark hair... (again, no idea why)

I think of Tom Earp as someone with lots of people surronding him with confused looks on their faces...

I think of AggieSigmaNu (Kitso) wearing a giant cowboy hat

And I think of docet saying "oy" alot... LoL

For some weird reason I always picture Rudey to be tall with dark hair, very good looking, and always wearing a baseball hat on backwards. :D

I think Justamom would look Sally Field in "Steel Magnolias"

I always think of KRose and Amycat as extremely glamourous too, which I am sure they are!!! :)
