Legally Blonde 2...what did YOU think?
I got to see Legally Blonde 2 on opening night and thought it was adorable but not quite as adorable as the first. what did you all think?
I heard the screenwriter for the 2nd one was an Alpha Gam...does anyone know if thats true? I noticed they had a not too nice jab at kappas in the movie? no pun intended but is that legal? & if so is it because they don't use the whole name of a sorority? |
I wasn't crazy about the second one. It was kind of over the top for me. But my little girl loved it!!! There were a few cute moments.
I haven't read anything about the screenwriters for the second movie being greek. But I haven't researched it in depth. But I still love the first one. My daughter is in bed watching it again right now. :D |
I want the thing she wore to convert her badge to a necklace/pendant!! I like the round open thing Burr Patt sells-- but I fell in love with the one in the movie!!!
I thought the movie was okay--- I saw it opening night. Also went again last night with my husband and friends. Last night I sat and stared trying to figure out her badge/ pendant thing.:) -wendi |
i think my badge has this teeny teeny loop on the back...what is that for? Also, if you know any jewelry place that does repairs, they could easily solder a loop onto the back of the jewelry so you could string a necklace through it. I'm not sure if that would be allowed with our badges. I'm not sure of what we can and cannot do with them.
for a moment i forgot which side i am supposed to pin my badge to (i have alot of stupid moments) and them rembered the HEART is on the left side of your body...duh... |

Designergal3, The tiny loop on the back of the badge is your chapter guard, I think.

Sorry--it looks as if my post hijacked the thread----
but yes-the loop is for the chapter guard... kristin, i agree--that thing must have been custom made-- i will be consulting my jeweler. but i loved that thing so much, i also searched the web-w/ no luck-- however, i emailed mgm and asked who manufactured that thing. on the slim chance i get a response from them i will let you know. sorry--- back to the scheduled topic!!! -wendi |
Well, girls, I must say Legally Blond II was good for a few laughs but it no where near touched the first movie. My boyfriend and I saw it a few nights ago and he was not impressed at all but I rather enjoyed it. I especially loved the part where she is at the salon "harassing" Ms. Hauser (the Delta Nu from Texas). The reason that I loved it so much is because when I meet other Alpha Gams not only from my chapter that are alums but others as well, it just makes me want to jump for joy! The two dogs in love was flat out hilarious. All in all, I would give the movie 3.5 stars out of 5 stars. I am partial to Reese Witherspoon because she is one of my favorite actresses and she's a southern gal so gotta show some love there. I don't recommend this movie as a date movie but something for a girls night out! It is fun and be ready to laugh because you will!!!

We had a Jr. Circle event to see the movie...we had a great time! I laughed a little too loud as always. Opps! As for the screenwriter being an Alpha Gam, I was under the impression she was and went to James Madison when we had a chapter there. See below...

Karen Lutz was a screenwriter for the first movie, not the second though.
Which is just as well, I still like the first one way better than the second. :D |
