Wow, it's only a month or two away for most of us! Who is going through as a sister for the first time? Anyone have jitters?

I am actually on the other end of things...This will be my last recruitment as a delta...I am really excited and happy that I am also recruitment info manager...Which also means this will be my first year as a floater, I would not be in the rooms at all, but we don't have enough sisters who have been through recruitment before to leave them like that. So we are going for the more help the better technique. Oh on another note when is everyone's formal recruitments taking place. Epsilon Xi will be starting getting ready for stuff on the 17th of August, but recruitment runs from the 20th through the 24th...

Our rush school starts August 11th, recruitment starts August 28th, and we will be welcoming several new alphas (cross your fingers for quota+) on September 2nd.

(this may have changed/change in the future, nothing is actually in stone until rushees get their info packets)

This is my first Fall recruitment ever... I was initiated this Spring and was crazy enough to become FRC. Our recruitment is Sept. 5th, 6th and 7th. Good luck to all the other chapters!!!

Oh that would be great! Maya always plans such wonderful alumnae events, hopefully they will have those mini-quiches like usual. ( I think that is the second biggest draw for the deltas, after seeing all of our wonderful alums that is) I can't wait to start rush school, I am really looking forward to becoming the best rusher I can be for us!

I'm unfamiliar with the term Rush School. Is that like a Rush Retreat?

Rush school is when the house reopens for the fall and we begin to prepare for recruitment. There are sisterhood events, alumane events, room decorating sessions, dress checks, etc. This is also the time that we have recruitment TME's, go over the panhellenic rules, new girls learn the songs and chants, and we all brush up on our conversation skills. Every house at USC has rush school beginning two weeks before classes start.

Is Rush School different than Spirit Week?

BTW-- those mini-quiche rock! But I am all about the finger sandwiches :)

I dunno....what's spirit week? Different chapters, different names I think. The chicken caesar salad is quite good too, adpiucf, lol!

Spirit week is what ADPi offically refers to the few days or week before recruitment when prep and sisterhood activities are done.

This will be my first recruitment on the other side!!! I'm so super pumped up and excited!!!!!

Our chapter uses "Spirit Week" too :)
