drink for me

my liver is broken. Doctor said it functions abnormally and can't handle alcohol. I really can't drink anymore. :(

I'm so sorry to hear it. Next time I'm out I'll drink 9 for you.

DigitalAngel126 07-05-2003 06:24 PM

Boooooo to broken livers :( I'll sit one out in protest. :)

So sorry to hear your liver is doing that. :( Is that the only trouble it's causing though? I mean, you don't have to have surgery or something do you? :(

Peaches-n-Cream 07-06-2003 06:49 PM

I'm sorry about your liver problems. Feel better OP. :)

EagleChick19 07-06-2003 11:40 PM

Is there a specific problem with it? I'm sorry to hear about it, though. :( I'll make sure to drink one for ya.

tinydancer 07-06-2003 11:47 PM

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you are feeling ok other than that. We're all thinking of you.

Are we all thinking about him? I missed the memo. lol?

On a more constructive note: If your enzymes are high there are supplements you can take to lower them.

Calcium d-glucarate will lower liver enzymes in people that are ill with things as serious as hepatitis-C.

600 mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid a day will protect the liver . . . 1000mg is used in germany to regenerate the liver.

NAC (n-acetyl cysteine) before you drink will protect your liver as well as preventing a conventional hang over.

TMG (Tri methyl glycine) has good results protecting the liver also.

I know a few people that were sick with high liver enzymes that had them drop in half from calcium d-glucarate.

What exactly is a broken liver?

Optimist Prime 07-07-2003 04:08 PM

Hopefully no surgery, but drinking can cause more problems than its worth, even a little bit. Thanks for the support guys.
