I just lost a 1925 badge from the Omega chapter; I was outbid at like the LAST SECOND :( Grrrrrr!

Don't you hate it when you're outbid at the last second? About a month ago I had my eye on this gorgeous fuschia Bakelite bracelet and no one was bidding on it, but just to make sure I waited until there were only 2 minutes left to place my bid. Well, you guessed it, some hussy slipped her bid in at the last possible second and won the darn thing. :mad: It would've looked so much better on me, I'm sure!

noelleclaire80 and i have lost three auctions for silver rings from tiffany's. i'm getting very discouraged... very very discouraged.

Bon courage, as we used to say in French class! :) I don't really like auctions either because when I decide to buy something, I want it, darnit, so I use the "Buy-It-Now" feature if it's cheap enough for my tastes.

What kind of rings are they, anyway?

first it was the mesh ring. i too just got fed up with the waiting and being outbid, so i just sucked it up and went to tiff's. i love my ring.

the other two were rings i saw at the store. the heart ring that is adjustable by peretti and the heart ring by picasso. i wanted them b/c they match my pendant from tiffs but they cost too much for me to buy them both.

anyway, i was outbid for the picasso one and for the peretti ring, the reserve amount has not been reached yet. oh well.

I am dzandiloo but often use my husband's ID to bid-especially if its DZ stuff...his is movies&games (b/c he has an ebay business selling pre-owned movies and games!). He is about to change it to skibay-because he just bought a ski apparel business & is going to be selling bibs/pants/jackets/gloves, etc. on eBay. So I guess there are 3 that I could be bidding under.

I am so surprised someone actually knew where that name came from. Most people think that we are really strange people since we name our cats Crookshanks and Scabbers. We usually have to explain to them where we got their names.
