I am interested in learning more about Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc., but there is no Alpha Kappa Alpha chapter at the school I attend. Can you suggest a way that I could learn more about the organization?

P.S. I have also had trouble locating an active chapter in New York City.

LuckyCharms there are two city chapters in New York that I am aware of Alpha Mu in Brooklyn and Lambda in Manhattan. When you visit the official website you will check the North Atlantic Region, remember to look under the undergraduate chapters you should find a contact name and address. There are two very active grad chapters in NYC and Delta Rho Omega in Brooklyn as for Queens probably three. Again check the directory and try to make some contacts.
Good Luck!!

Thank You for the information. It was very helpful. There is a chapter close to my school which is Nu MU at St.John's but the rumor going around is that the chapter was recently suspened. Don't worry I haven't given up my on research. Thanks again!

I would suggest that you begin with our sorority's official website, www.AKA1908.com and read through the information there. This may be a good way for you to locate a grad chapter in your area since a chapter directory is available. Also, many greeks and non-greeks have said that "The Divine Nine" is a good resource as well. Are there any other colleges near you that may have an AKA chapter?

Hi! I am just curious as to what school Lucky Charms attends. I know all too well how hard it is to find AKA chapters in the New York City area. As I was trying to locate a city wide chapter, I found out that there was a chapter right on the campus of my school ( Omicron Theta). My school is small with a predominantly caucasian student body so I was surprised as well as pleased. I hope you find a chapter that covers your school. Good luck !

Hey Lucky Charms,

I live in NYC (The Bronx) and there is a chapter at the school that I attend, (XI XI)
But I am sure that there are city chapters who you could contact. Good luck in your quest, I know its hard to find any AKA chapters (especially if you go to CUNY) too much drama...
