Greeks with four greek letters?

Wow. I'm posting a lot today. You would think I'd be working, since I'm at work. lol. Anyway, I have one last question for yall: Are greeks org. with four greek letters still considered a true greek org.?

I don't see why not. Just look at alpha Kappa Delta Phi. Their sisterhood is just as special as those who have two or three Greek letters.

Or Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi (from Sorority Life 1)
I don't see why not either

Ohhhh okay. Thanks. Just wanted to know, because everyone I know doesn't know whether they were legit if they had four greek letters. . .

I dont count the number of letters cos then the two lettered greeks could say that the three lettered arent real... and the three lettered can say the two lettered arent real...

Kinda like the Sneeches.

GLOs with 4 letters are just as real as the 2 and 3 lettered GLOs. alpha Kappa Delta Phi and the famous Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi sororities are proof that 4 lettered GLOs are for real!

I'm wondering what your definition of "legit" is...?

Legit=real. I just didn't know, and when I don't know something I ask because it's better to educate myself than stay ignorant to the issue.

I'm going to meet some four letter greeks soon and I didn't want to be mean. How would it sound if I said, "So are you guys a REAL greek organization?" I'd rather get my facts straight now, then later.

Kudos to you for seeking the truth instead of staying ignorant

There is also Acacia, who when they put Greek letters on their shirts use AKAK.

Although....I don't think this fraternity with 5 letters is quite on the level. :D

there was a local sorority at my second school called Phi Sigma Sigma Rho. They were originally Phi Sigma Rho, but as one of the girls explained to me "They threatened to sue us, so we stuck an extra letter in"

... so much for the letters having meaning  Of course, from what I saw they had much larger problems....

Are they (the BEAST fraternity) for real? I know that Acacia is an actual fraternity, though!

Alpha Lambda Phi Alpha is a 4-letter local at Occidental College, and has thrived for 103 years. Any group that has been around that long is definitely "legit."
