Bring Back the Crest!

Brothers,

Fraternities do not have logos, they have a coat of arms, which hold great meaning to our members. Reflect upon our crest and it brings back a great many memories and lessons. What exactly does this new logo bring up? From what I hear, the members hate it. Originally, it was part of the EDGE logo, which was fine. But, it was NEVER intended as the symbol of our fraternity.

I hope we can introduce a resolution in Chicago this week to get rid of this "logo" and bring back our crest as our symbol. Fraternities are traditional organizations and need to maintain those traditions of greatest value. The crest means a great deal to me, as I am sure it does to each of you. Just because we are not "slaves to tradition" doesn't mean we have to throw out the good ones after more than a century.

when you are right you are right

I would say you are correct about the logo. And the crest is great to display, but so would a better looking logo. The logo is pretty dull.

that logo

That logo cost a pretty penny to produce.

It's quite sad that the people who designed that were paid to do it.

I am pleased to say that I was informed at convention the "logo" will be leaving us. Unfortunately, HQ has enough printed materials to last until our Bicentennial, but it is officially scheduled to disappear.

I'm sure any future designs will include meaningful symbols, and hopefully input from the brothers. Just thought I'd let you know.

couldn't stand that logo I felt Like I was a member of a day care. A little to easygoing and playful if you ask me
