I hit a pole--in my new truck....

I got a 2001 Expedition last week-- My kids are at a friends house spending the night. I ran clothes over for the boys and told my friend that I don't feel good. On my way home from her house I decided to stop by the gas station to get a pop. I parked-- notice I felt dizzy and everything seem really dark--- next thing I know the truck is rolling---it hit a pole in front of the gas station. I slammed on the brakes just as it hit the pole(s). I then left the gas station--not a chance I am getting out there to look at the damage. I drove home (husband was not home)-- the was some yellow paint from the pole on the bumper--I scrapped it off--and there are slight dents in the chrome.
I am not going to admit this--- NEVER!!!! I washed the truck yesterday, so I am hoping I can just say "i dunno, must have been there and now you can see it since its clean!!"

oops!!!!

Wendi sweety???:(

Depending on the damage to the pole (?) and truck, you could get damage to personal property, leaving the scene of an accident, and having hubby findy out! OOPS:o

First off, I think you better get checked out by a DOCTOR!!! ASAP!! PLEEZE!

Do me a favor, PM me with Phone and maybe we can get a GC Meet set up yet!!:)

I would love to meet some of the crazies of GC!!

Luv Ya Sweety!!!

Get Checked out!!!!!!!

I'm sorry about your Expedition :( I hope you're alright though, that's what really counts!

Sorry to hear about your accident. Don't take any chances with your health. If you still are feeling dizzy, get checked out right away.

Also, I can't blame you for wanting to hide the damage. Men can be so anal when it comes to cars. LOL.

Glad your ok at least!

Thanks all!!!

Tom--I was just at a friends house--one of the friends is a cop in my town0--- he laughed, told me not to worry about it--as far as the pole--- it is one of those concrete poles to keep people from hitting the building when they park (what a great invention!! ha)

Also all the guys at my friends house looked and they couldn't tell that any damage was done!!!!

I will take it easy--- and as far as getting my health checked out-- well, I have a dr's appt this week, so I will talk to the doctor about it!!!

thanks!!!!

At the end of the day, thank goodness that you are safe and not seriously injured (I would get that checked out by a Dr. though, just to be safe....you never know).

AchtungBaby80 06-29-2003 01:16 PM

Wow, that's scary! I'm glad you're getting it checked out. As long as you (and the truck, for your sake ;) ) are OK, I wouldn't worry about the concrete pole.

This afternoon, I was rushing out to run to GPhiBLtCol's house and backed into hubby's car!! It's never there!!!:p

He had pulled it out a few minutes earlier so he could get the lawn mower out. Couldn't hide it from him...he was standing right there, lol.

Luckily there was no damage to my car and only a tiny scrape to his 92 Civic!

Glad you weren't injured and there was no real damage.
