yes, the day has come. the straw has broken the camel's back. folks have made isht FUBAR.

folks wanna come up in here and try to get information about membership w/o asking flat out. folks wanna lie about their situations. folks wanna post stuff that's FULL of spelling and gramatical errors and expect us to believe they want to be in a sorority, nevermind Delta. folks want to get indignant when the answer they receive is not one they like. some of y'all are off the flippin chain. got keyboard courage & don't know what do do with it.

Sorors, I apologize for not discussing this with you prior to now, but I can't take it anymore.

THERE WILL BE NO MORE DISCUSSION OF ANYTHING REMOTELY RELATING TO MEMBERSHIP ON THIS BOARD

Any posts that we had relating to membership will be deleted, so if you notice your post count going down, that's why.

I feel Sorors have been more than nice and accomodating regarding questions, but folks are just not appreciative. Maybe someday in the future when/if attitudes change we will resume limited discussion. But until then, if you don't get what you need to know from the National website, chapter website or Deltas you know personally, don't look for information here.

The topics and posts on GC this week has been, in the words of Tom Pope, "off the da[r]n dial". Folk confessing to made up stories, prospectives throwing temper tantrums, and this ain't even addressing the Strom Thurmond debate that garned 80 posts in an 8 hour period.

WHAT THE BUMP IS GOING ON HERE?

*Doors open, Rain Man steps onto the Match Game/Greekchat set and the scene is total chaos. Panelists fighting; their faces a mess of Magic Marker marks, blue index cards flying everywhere, "magic toaster" going up and down like crazy, circles and triangles on the podiums light up erraticly, "Match Game" logo and Star Wheel are raised and lowered like out of control hydraulics on a '62 Impala.

Rain Man gives the "whatever" gesture with his hands, and exits the set and closes the doors to leave the participants to their melee.*

Delta mods (read: Kelli and CT4), I can hardly blame you for your decision seeing what has transpired over the past few days. I wonder, however, if this action might start flame war threads (based on the last thread of this nature).

Who wants to join me for some Banana Cruzan Rum and Vanilla Coke *RM pours some Coke in a plastic cup and adds a "smidgen" of rum.*

a couple of questions come to mind as i read over the thread:

why are you attempting an internet search of something that could easily be found through your transferring institution? i am a former greek advisor and there is no way a university official would not know whether or not an active chapter exists at that school or not.

why don't you know an actual soror who could help you with that information?

it has been clearly stated that no membership information will be disseminated on this board. that rule is for your benefit AND ours. there is a way to do anything and you have not chosen the correct way to seek information. don't be angry or indignant because answers were not handed to you. nothing in life will be handed to you and most assuredly not Delta. take this as a lesson and grow from it!
