Cheap tickets??

So the bf is coming in town for July 4th weekend, and we want to do one "big" thing.
I'm thinking either a Cubs game or Blue Man Group or something.
Since it's such late notice, are there any websites you can buy cheap or last minute tickets from????

It's kind of old fashioned but you can check the classifieds in your local newspaper, there are usually people trying to sell tickets in there.

how about cheaptickets.com?

you could always try e-bay I don't know if they may be real cheap but it's worth a try.

I thought this was just airfare and hotels? Am I missing something?

Only way to get "cheap" (meaning face value) Cubs tickets is probably at Wrigley, or via a phone number/website if they have one - there is a Cubs resaler just a few blocks from Wrigley if a game is sold out, they might have some....

Wrigley is the best ballfield - I especially loved the Old Style beer vendor's personalities in the stands...

Wrigly is an awesome ballfield. I guarantee you will have some difficulty finding cubs tickets though. Blue Man Group will probably be around $50 (i don't remember the exact price) from the theatre. If you spend a little extra, you get the poncho seats which are worth it.

I don't know how much you're willing to spend, but scalpers outside the stadium start lowering their prices hard-core after a couple innings.

Try eBay and Craig's list. The Cubs reseller is owned by the Tribune company, overcharges like none-other, and is a controversial way to avoid revenue sharing among the MLB so avoid it.

Thanks so much for all your help.

I have a friend who works on one of the rooftops behind Wrigley where they have parties, so we could always do that for free....I just kinda miss sitting in the actual stadium lol....

Blue Man Group is gonna be $145 which is total crap b/c the tix are marked up like 300% since its 4th of july weekend....

Not like you guys care but I'm thinking about fireworks (free) and Tony n Tina's Wedding. That was SUCH a fun show, guys like it too, and the tix are only $53, including dinner and champagne.
