Men's sneakers

So to those that pay attention, what are some cool sneakers for guys? I see a lot of guys with gray New Balances these days.

Air Force Ones.

I'm kidding.

Seriously, my boy has some Pumas that I think are awesome -- they're black and white, pretty plain.

I stick with the gray New Balance - had a couple of pairs, and they're good sneakers. They last a while and look good too.

What's wrong with Air Force Ones? Those classics are always in style.

Grey New Balances are good. Really anything that's not bright white should be OK. I like Asics and Sauconys too.

The problem with white sneakers is they can get gross REALLY fast if you don't keep up on cleaning them. I had a nice pair of white K Swiss, and after a couple of rainstorms they were done for.

I also just don't like the look of an all white sneaker on a guy.

I agree that they're always in style and don't think there's anything wrong with them -- it's just that based on what I know of Rudey, I don't think he'd wear them. :)

I'm not sure what that means, but then again I'm confused by your fashion sense as well. :) I thought you'd recommend Prada gym shoes from eluxury.com or something.

I'm thinking about the Puma Anjans but they're hard to find. Are Pumas able to even handle sports or would I have to get another pair of sneakers just for that?

--Now I'm having thoughts of AF1's laced with the gucci fabric. Nobody even knows what I'm talking about so it's cool.

Air Force Ones

Sorry to get slightly off topic, but does Nike make Air Force Ones for women? I personally think they look great on guys, but New Balance seem to be the sneaker of choice for most guys I hang out with.

New Balance 805s. I love the way trail running shoes look on guys. But please please please--not the gray ones! ;)

Maybe they're the 809s? or 908s? 508s? Gah! All the numbers!

Just go old school with some Converse Chuck Taylor's. Another oldie but a goodie are the shell toe Adidas. New Balance do really seem to be in style now though. Is it just me or did Nike start making some really ugly sneakers around five years ago. It's like they ran out of ideas.

MattUMASSD 06-26-2003 10:12 AM

new balance 806's are pretty cool. Also the adidas response trail are great too.
