Is there anyone out there?

Skee Wee and good afternoon Sorors!
I am fairly new to the board...I have only posted a few times. But I am sharing my good news with everyone....I am pregnant! My husband and I are soooooo excited. This will be my first baby and although I am excited I am a bit nervous at times. My question is...are there any other expecting Sorors out there who can relate?
God is real and I am blessed!

Congratulations, Catwoman!! I am not expecting right now, but I have a beautiful 3 year old, so it has not been that long ago. If you have any question or matters you would like to discuss, of course talk to your doctor http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif and remember your sorors and sisterfriends are here.

Congratulations, Soror! I wish you and your husband all the best as you prepare for the new addition to your family. This is indeed a blessing. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Congratulations Soror! I'm so happy for you! I'm not expecting right now, but I do have a six year old. Believe me it(motherhood)only gets better over the years. It will break you down to the point of SCREAMING sometimes but every second of it is worth it. Just wait until your angel starts Kindergarten...prepare to cry the first few days of school. I was worse than my son (LOL). Anyway good luck, best wishes, God Bless and keep us posted. I'M SOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!

Hey Congratulations Soror!

I'm not expecting but I do have a two-year-old and although he's not that terrible he is a piece of work and I enjoy every minute of it (well most of the time) http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif My advice to you is to get as much sleep and free time as you possibly can right now, store up, take pictures and remember it fondly because in a short time most of your free time will be devoted to the little one!

On another note, just off the top of my head once you know what you're having (if you decide to find out) or even if you don't, if you purchase any clothes, diapers, shoes, etc. for baby buy them in different sizes and suggest that family members do the same. Most times baby is all set for the first thre to six months then after that they grow like water and you'll end up coming out of your pocket with a lump sum to build baby's wardrobe, (unless you know someone with a child who kept their baby's clothes).

At any rate feel free to email me at any time with questions.

Good Luck!!!!

Congratulations Catwoman, on your expected arrival!!

Reading your post made me reflect on something that happened to me as recent as Sunday at a friends baby shower. I was sitting around talking w/my aunt (she's 3 years older than I am) and my cousin (same age). They were questioning why my husband and I haven't started our family yet. My aunt has two girls and my cousin has one and is preg w/her 2nd. Anyway, they were telling me that I had better hurry up before I was 30, because that was too old to be having my 1st child and I would be tired and "worn-out" by the time he/she came along blah, blah, blah.

Now ladies, I know I'm not a teenie-bopper, but I don't consider 28 that old!! I've been married 2 1/2 years, so probably within the next year or so we will start to try. Although I didn't admit it, the things they were saying REALLY got to me after I had time to think about it. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this from family/friends and how you dealt with it.

sorry for the long post http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Congrats, soror! We too are expecting our first child (in September). Ultrasound results reveal that we can expect a healthy baby girl. Feel free to e-mail me, as everyone may not to indulge in the details on this message board...

Congratulations Soror Cat!

I have 2 and I remember how I enjoyed pregnancy. Yes, that's right. It is really wonderful when you are ~ 5 months and you can feel their kicks and punches.

All this baby talk makes me want to have another one!!

http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif Good afternoon Sorors and SF.
I have been ill the past two weeks and found out yesterday that I had a miscarriage. Something called a blighted ovum. My husband and I are disappointed but not discouraged.
God is still in control and he knows what is best. We belief that he grants the desires of our hearts...so we will be looking to be blessed with children when the time is right. Some people tend to blame God when "bad" things happen but a lady at my old church used to say "if you feel far from God guess who moved?" I AIN'T MOVIN'!!!!! Keep me in your prayers and have a blessed day!

Discogoddess 06-08-2000 03:23 PM
