Any Sorors or Sistafriends in the Louisville area???

Hi all, my linesister is relocating to the Loiusville, KY area and she doesn't know anyone. If you're in the area or know of any events or happening in the area please email me at LNS810@msn.com and I'll pass the info on to her (she doesn't have access to email there yet). We found a small alumnae chapter but a friendly face that knows the area would be a great help!! She'll be there all alone starting this weekend. Thanks in advance!!!! OOhsofly

This is what Sisterhood is all about

That "small alumnae chapter" there is full of friendly and sisterly sorors, some who may have just graduated from Xi Chapter at the U. of Louisville. So have your LS contact Louisville Alumnae. She won't be alone for long.

At IU Southeast only 10mins away from Louisville there are 2 Deltas on our campus. One is the Dean of Education Gloria Murrary. The other one runs our Mentoring outreach program and her name is June Huggins. She could contact them to see where the alum chapter is in that area. I hope that helps.

First of all thanks for the response Soror Ladygreek....second I didn't mean anything negative by small...it was purely descriptive (I guess its the writer in me :D ) I'm sure she'll make connections thru the grad chapter but she was hoping to have other contacts that she could go to for the basics as soon as she got there, (ie..directions, suggestions about a good Italian resturant..etc) so I suggested that I post this thread for her. If you have any info about the area please let me know!

LOL, it's just that Louisville Alumnae is not that small compared to some other alumnae chapters. And I guess my other point is she can make the contact before she goes--the name and phone number of the chapter president is on the Roster CD that was sent to your chapter or she can call HQ and get the info. That way she can get the info about the basics from them, too.

Oh, it just dawned on me what you might be thinking--we are on summer break. Don't worry sisterhood continues all year so she can contact the chapter anytime.
