Does anyone else watch the Wire? It now comes on after SITC, so I thought some people who had not previously watched it stayed over. It probably was a bit confusing if you did, but it is a GREAT show! As a plus, that fine Idris Elba is on it!

Yes, love the Wire. Always thought it was so real, engaging and unapologetic.

I hope this season heats up soon. McNulty looks wack w/ that uniform on, though.

I love The Wire too. Idris Elba (Stringer Bell) is the man!! Last night's episode was very good, seems like things are finally starting to happen and the old crew : Lt. Daniels, Herc, Freamon, kima, and Valcheks son-in-law are back minus McNulty, but he's still working the case on his own.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that loves the wire. For those of you who watched it for the first time last night or want to get in it HBO.com has a synopsis of each episode so you can read that and kinda catch up.

I think it is really about to be on next week though. Avon is a straight up gangsta!! Can you believe he let all of them folks die so he can get some of his time shaved off!! :eek: :eek: Watch, Avon is going to be the new supplier in the jail. Whooooo!! I think D is going to end up getting his butt kill-ted (smile) He keeps telling Avon what he is not going to do. Stringer already considers him suspect, especially after what happened last season. Doesn't he remember what happened to Wallace?? They ain't got no love for no body!!

I also can't believe that Stringer was getting it on with D'Angelo's girl--with the baby in the other room!! Although I must say I was happy to see him take off his shirt! :D I was about to put a dollar on the TV for him to take off some more!! :D LOL

The dock workers story line had to grow on me, but now I am feeling it. I think Ziggy is going to get himself kill-ted too! I can't wait to see how that entire money thing rolls out this time. What did they say last season "follow the money". There is going to be some mess again with that State Senator.


Do you guys think Omar is going to kill Bubbles and his junkie friend? I sure hope not. I hope Bubbles tells him that McNaulty is looking for him and why. I would be so said if Bubbles dies. I'm hoping he will really get himself together.

Oh! And how is Kima gonna tell the Lt. "You tell my wife and I'll tell yours" :eek: Whoooooo The scene with both couples eating dinner was great, as was the scene where Kima pulled ol' boy off the hood of that car and cuffed him! Too funny!!

This is my favorite show...I can't wait 'til Sunday nights....

LOL, when I saw Stringer and D's girl I was like WHAT! That ain't right! But forgot what I was thinking when he took his shirt off....(whew..fanning myself now just thinking about it...LOL)

Omar might scare Bubbles, but he won't kill'em.

BTW, I think that Avon and Stringer are soooooo sexy, even if they are drug dealers!

I was hurt last season when the little boy that confessed to the cops about pointing out Omar's boy was killed (I forgot his name, but he had braids). I almost cried!

Avon, who's real name is Wood Harris, just doesn't do it for me. That scraggily beard is gross. Now his brother, Steve Harris who plays Eugene on the Practice is a cutie!!

The kid's name was Wallace and I agree!! I was crying too!! He was so cute with the little kids that stayed in the abandoned house with him. Making them study, bringing them food, etc. Boddie (I think that is his name--the guy that killed Wallace) is as crazy as Wey-Bay. I think he's the next enforcer since WeyBay is in jail. And what's up with his fetish for fish??? LOL

Oh, I wonder what happened to ol' girl from the strip club and if she was going to develop any type of relationship with Lester (the doll furniture making guy)

My chapter bruh is gonna be on the wire! He's trying to do the acting thing. I would say look out for him but I don't have any digital pics to post right now.

I posted a longer thread in Chit Chat. Was anyone else on the edge of their seats like me last night. THis is the BEST show on TV right now. So many twists and turns!!

I was too! My feelings are hurt because next week is the last episode. Stringer has been doing too much dirt this season.

Stringer is going to get his. Avon has got to find out that he's let those other dealers in on his territory even when he told him NO.

I can't believe it's that last episode either, seems like the show just started.

Avon, IMO, is the least of Stringer's worries. What is he going to do when Brother Muzone recovers? Also, I am sure Omar is going to be gunning for him since he lied to him about who really messed Brandon up so badly. I just hope they don't hurt him. He's such a cutie!!

You're right, I forgot about Brother Muzone, oooh, Stringer's butt is going to be in a lot of trouble. Hopefully he'll get a jail cell right next to Avon's.

IMO, Stringer was really running things all along, Avon was just a front man. Stringer really should be in jail, no Avon.
