Gas Grill or Charcoal Grill

I was talking with my bro about grills and how I prefer charcoal grills because as a kid I always helped my dad with the coals and lighter fluid and matches and watching the huge flame. The food also turned out great as well. I just finished grilling and I thought how simple it would be to turn a knob and the grill would be hot and the food would be done quicker. I dont know, what are everyone's thoughts?

You warm your home with gas, not your BBQ.

Its gotta be charcoal to start, but you use Oak logs and have them burn down to coals. Then you cook on that. Theres no better lfavor. Misquite is OVERRATED.

Propane – For quick connivance, there great for chicken breast dinners.
Charcoal – For poolside lazy summer days.
Wood – For traditional BBQ events.

Charcoal is a pain-in-the-butt to get started, it's messy and the meat always ends up tasting a bit lighter fluid-y. I say gas.

Aw, baby, if ya wanna do it the real right way...

Dig a pit. Get the coals going, Using Oak logs only, put down rocks over the coals, then the meat wrapped in foil, cover with rocks and let smoke for 6-8 hours or so.

THEMS GOOD EATS.

Damn . .. . .

During the summers we would go over my one friends house and he had this small hibachi (sp?) grill . . I mean small . . we would grill steaks on there that were bigger than the whole Damn grill while drinking beers! Then his mother said it broke or something and they got agas grill . . its never been the same.

Moms!

Personally I like to use grape stumps on an old home-welded bbq.

I like this new bbq made by char-broil it's the Big Easy charcoal/gas. This grill is cool, essentially it is a gas grill however if you want there is a seperate tray that you hangs on the back of the unit that pops in ontop of the gas burners and holds charcoal. so now if you feel like getting that nice charcoal flavor you can or if you want to cook something quick you can do that too. the best part is that there is no need for that damn lighter fluid the gas burners ignite the charcoal.

I thought that lighter fluid was half the fun?:)

If you care about taste, then stick with charcoal. If you care about timeliness, then get a gas grill.
