has anyone been the site www.meetup.com ??? Its a really intersting site where you can "meet-up" with people about different topics in your area.

I just check out the site. It's pretty cool.

i've gone to a few in my city... but i try to take someone i know already if theres going to be a million strangers.

i've joined a few groups, but all the events seem to be on days that i already have something to do. i really just wanted to find a running buddy, but joined a bunch of other groups too. i have to admit, i'm pretty excited about the east coast transplant group i joined.
