Quick Paddle Question...

Here's the deal guys...our (TKE209 and I) anniversary is coming up here in July (he pinned me on my birthday, heh) and I was wondering is it proper for a non-greek Sweetheart to give a paddle to her Teke?? I mean..I'm making him a new letter shirt and wanted to make him a paddle...but I'm not sure about it.

Your thoughts?

(I was going to send him to the Chicago Willie Nelson deal you guys had talked about, but none of his brothers have enough money to go with him, so I had to nix it..)

I don't see a problem with it. I would think it is a chapter to chapter decission I would. Ask a guy from his chapter you trust not to blab and see what he says.

Well, the only ones around are the fugens (f*cking new guys) and they won't have a clue, lol! (already asked...had no comment)

really shouldn't be a problem... especially if the local chapter has no strong feelings either way...

paddles are kinda an old school thing, so there's nothing really wrong with giving them as a present or recognition. my home chapter sometimes gave them out as awards like Top Teke and the other top 3-4 awards, and a local sorority has given paddles as a thank you for things that we've done with them, and there's really nothing saying you can't give a paddle to someone, so i'd say go for it.
