POP3 E-mail
I can't access my usual e-mail account for some reason, and I want to get the messages from that account. Do I need to have POP3 access (which costs $$$$) activated on both accounts, or just on the one I'm using now?

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is yes. You'll need some way to "pop" the messages off server one. If you have a yahoo account, you might try configuring it for the POP3 account to see if that works.

I had EXCITE email for a while (still do) and had that account forwarded to my AOL account. Now that they've changed ownership you have to pay for that sort of service. So I randomly check that account. I miss having that POP3 :(

POP stands for "post office protocol" It's a method of sending messages.
When you have POP3 access with an account, you can check it with a program like Eudora or Outlook. It allows you to download messages off the server. What it sounds like you need to do is forward the messages from one account to another. That's free with most services. |
