Asu Rush!!
 

Hi, my name is marissa and i have lots of questions about rushing at arizona state university, i'm going to attend next fall and would love to contact someone from the chapters there to get a feel for asu before i go. Please write me back if you are in a house there or even know about a great house there. How competative is it? Thank you all so much.

Hey, i go to ASU. I dont know much about sorority rush, but from what I have heard from my friends who rushed it is pretty competitive. There are other people on this board who do go to ASU as well who could probably answer your questions better. if they dont respond, PM me and Ill get u in touch with some girls in ASU sororities. I'm just going to post a couple of things about ASU rush here. First of all, I dont really consider ASU to be that competitive for rush. My friends at U of A had a completely different experience for rush and it is very competitive there. Here there is a place for everyone and probably the majority of girls get into houses that they want. Secondly, I have nothing bad to say about any house, I have friends in every one. I will say that I love my house and cant imagine going through college without being a part of it. I have got to experience winning many awards including 2X Greek Week Champions and Chapter of the Year, and also unforgettable socials, date parties, and formals.
Also, one of my best friends is a member of the new local jewish sorority, Sigma AEPi, and they too are a great group of girls. I suggest that you go through rush and do be honest, but make sure to emphasize that it was a local chapter and that you do want to be part of a national house, if thats what you truly want.

Actually, Sigma AEPi is not local. It's a regional/national sorority (they have more than one chapter) but it's NOT an NPC sorority and won't have the same resources that an NPC would.

I hope that doesn't confuse anybody too much. :)

my friend was in a sorority at ASU, and then they got kicked off campus.
First she told me it was because they were not making quota and had a SMALL sorority, then she changed it around and said it was because they partied too hard:rolleyes:
