We finally made it!

Well, I graduated in January, but I am technically class of 2000 with a Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University in Chicago. God is definitely good to pull a sista through school while she was starting a new job and planning her wedding (which happened right before Fall 99 finals)! "Free at last, free at last..."

Thank you for the kudos, sorors! Congratulations to all graduates of 2000, whether you came out in January, or will come out this month, this summer, or this fall. Remember, we all (especially us Af-Am and Latina sisters) stood on the shoulders of some slave, some sharecropper, some migrant worker, some maid, some janitor, some teacher, some deacon/elder to get where we are. Now let someone stand on your shoulders to get where they need to go!

On a lighter note: I got this diploma in my hand like, WHOA! I'm getting ready to rock that new job like, WHOA! I'm finna pay those $#%^ student loans like, WHOA!

I am a member of the class of 2000! When: Saturday, May 13, 2000 at 9:00 a.m. Where: Lee E. Williams Athletic and Assembly Center at Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. Degree: B.S. Speech/Communicative Disorders. Hopefully, I will be in Houston in fall at the University of Houston-Clear Lake in the Healthcare Administration program. I have been studying for ONE final for the past couple of weeks, it will all be over Monday.

I think CONGRATULAIONS are in order to all those in the class of 2000 (like DG said any month is good even if it is in Jan 2001)!!!

My sorors are smart and humorous!

I graduated with a Masters in Counseling Psychology on May 6. I am VERY relieved that it is over!!!!!
