I have another question....
 

I am currently in a four year institution in Huntsville, Al. and my GPA is really good. I have done some extensive research on a particular black fraternity in the area and I would like to know from past experiences what did any of you guys do to "impress" a member of your fraternity to become noticed.
(other than going to parties)

I don't think it should be about trying to impress anyone. Just be yourself. There is a difference in making your face known, and trying to impress people. If you are very active on campus, they will notice you. If you are not seen that much, then I would suggest you do more active stuff.
