Here is a scholarship I found and I wanted to share with everyone!

BlackNews.com Scholarship

BlackNews.com is thrilled to offer its first $1,000.00 scholarship award to an African or African-American student for the 2003-2004 academic year. The scholarship is NOT an academic scholarship - It is NOT based on your grades or on your community involvement. It is entirely based on an essay submission.

To Apply For The Scholarship, There Are Just Two Steps Involved:

1) You must register with BlackNews.com right now! Its FREE, it takes just two seconds, plus you will receive the top black news stories of each week in your emai

2) After you register with BlackNews.com, you have until July 15, 2003 to submit a two-page double-spaced essay on why you think Black news mediums are important to the Black community. The essay should address the need for Black newspapers, Black magazines, Black news web sites, and Black news radio.

Do NOT send transcripts, resumes, or photos. Only submit an essay with your name, phone number, email address, and postal address.

We will review all submissions and select final candidates based on the quality, uniqueness, and creativity of the content in your essay. One winner will be awarded the scholarship.

Who's Eligible?
The student must be African, African-American, or Carribean, and the student must be enrolled in a college or University. The student can be an upcoming/current freshman, sophmore, junior, or senior in undergraduate or graduate school.

When's The Deadline?
All submissions must be postmarked by July 15, 2003. No exceptions whatsoever.

Do not email or fax any submissions. All submissions must be sent via postal mail to:
