Father's Day gift ideas

As usual, I have no idea what to get my dad for father's day.
I just spentabout an hour online looking @ suggestions. They all suck. No one wants most of that crap.

So I was hoping some of the GCers ideas would help me out. :)

What are you getting your dad for father's day?

If you're a dad, what's something you'd actual want? No fair saying that it's the meaning that counts, either!

What is the price range?

What does your dad like to do?

What did he just buy himself?

A nice single-malt seems to go over well with most men...

I'm bumping this up because I need help as well! And my budget isn't that big:(

My budget isn't so big, so...

I got my dad a hardcover Yankees 100th anniversary book. It has about their history, a bunch of photos, and seems like something he'd really like (like me, my dad is a diehard Yankees fan).

My sister got him Yanks tickets, but since I have to pay bills (while my sister does not), I did the best with the money I have.

I got my Dad an AC/DC CD (He likes couple of the songs on the CD.)
My bro is getting him a tie from the school he goes and a Laugh In DVD.

My dad was one of those guys who saw something he liked, and bought it - he was really hard to shop for. With that, I'll leave two suggestions:

a) Find out his favorite type of socks or underwear, and replace the whole drawer, throwing out the old stuff (that isn't "sentimental" - Daddy has his favorite golf socks). Who wouldn't love a drawer full of brand new undergucci's?

b) Whatever you decide to buy, write a sincere note or letter. Last year, I told him how so many people have fathers who are or are not a big part of their lives, but I was especially blessed by having a Daddy. He cried.

My Daddy passed away suddenly in August, and that note was at the top of his dresser drawer. I will be forever grateful that I told him how much I loved him while I could!

Happy Father's Day, y'all!

Like everyone else, I have no idea what to get my dad - he does not like stuff. The man wears Hawaiian shirts and jeans almost every day, and the only thing he is "into" is his motorcycle, which I can't afford anything for. I was thinking about getting him a "Gamma Phi Beta DAD" shirt because he won't wear anything from Marquette (even though my mom is alum and now I go there) and I don't know what else he would want.

My dad is a huge space geek, and I'm interning with Boeing at the Cape this summer, so I got him one of the STS-107 (the last Columbia mission designation, for those of you who don't know) polo shirts like all the engineers around here have. I figured he would appreciate feeling like he was "on the team".

My dad's favorite father's day gift is a picture I drew when I was like, 11. He's had it hanging up in his bathroom for something like 10 years now. Sometimes it's the silly sentimental things that really count.
