I just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Debbie and I am a member of Alpha Rho Nu in Huffman Texas. I have been a Beta Sigma Phi member since 1992. I am 33 years old and have 2 kids, and I am a stay at home mom. I look forward to chatting with all of you.:)

I'm in Dallas myself. How far is Huffman from Dallas?

We are northeast of Houston. About 32 miles from Houston. And about 4 hours from you. What chapter do you belong to? Did you by any chance go on the cruise last year? We went and had a blast.

Welcome to GC. It's great to see our forum growing....I'm new to Beta (prospective for 3 mos then joined in Feb 03). I'm a secondary teacher currently teaching HS until 6/12 then start teaching summer school 6/16.

I'm curious, how did you find out about Beta? I happen to see an ad in the college paper back in 1991/1992 (at age 25) long story short was not able to join then after attending a few events. Then about 10 years later I contacted BSP again. The best part about the story is, I'm in the same chapter as the sister that placed the ad in the college paper back in the fall of 1991 (I was rushing the ROJ she was in).:D

I learned of Beta Sigma Phi thru my mother in law. She joined in 1960 in Marietta Ohio. She belonged to a chapter here in texas that was started in 1977 and they were friendly venturing a chapter in our area for younger girls. At the time I was 21. Well to make a long story short our chapter (being a new chapter) fell apart after 2 years. I took a 3 year break for bsp and then decided that I really missed it, so I joined my mother in laws chapter, who luckily for me had had several ladies my age join. I really love bsp and have met some really nice ladies thru the conventions that we attend. It is always neat to meet new people and swap stories about our chapters and members.
