Hi! :)
I just wanted to say hi to everyone and introduce myself since I just joined the site today. My name is Jamie and I am a member of the Beta Alpha chapter of Alpha Delta Pi (Indiana University). I just "ran" into the site today and thought I would give it a try.
Have a great day! :) ~ Jamie ~ |
Hi Jamie,
Welcome to the site!!!!!!!!!! Glad you joined. It's great having another sister here on the boards. Take care. Pi love, Ally |
I'm new too!
My name is Jen,
I'm an alumna of Alpha Epsilon chapter at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. I joined as a junior in 2000 and graduated in 2002. I was also married May 2002. Now I live, in a suburb of Minneapolis, MN. I work at the University of Minnesota - Tiwn Cities. I really wish that there was still an ADPi chapter near me. Alpha Rho at UMNTC closed in the 80's and the closest chapters are in Iowa. I'm working with some ladies here to start an Alumnae association. If anyone knows of any young Pi's in the area, since I am new here I'd LOVE to meet some sisters my own age. |
Just want to welcome everyone to Greek Chat...
|
Welcome, Jamie & Jen! There's always room for some more ADPi's on Greek Chat!!
I'm a Pi, from Alpha Iota chapter at Pitt. |
Welcome to the board. I love chatting with my sisters on this board. It's nice talking to other adpi's that you don't go to school with, but are your sisters.
Love Brianna |

I couldn't say it any better! Being a member of GreekChat makes me wish that I was still attached to my collegiate chapter...I still feel a little funny about going to an alumnae association meeting....I think that the next youngest one there is probably about 30! Gotta get over that hesitation soon, though....it'll be a great way to get involved with the local chapters (we have 2 here in the San Diego area!) Welcome to all the newest members here...we're so glad to have you and hope to get to know you better as the days go by :) L & L, Jennie |
Welcome Jamie and Jen! I love seeing new ADPi’s here. Hope you both find the site as fun as I have. It's a great place to get ideas, share stories, and meet new friends!
Jennie I had the same hesitation you are having about the Alumnae meetings. If they hold Happy Hours, that might be the best time to break the ice. They tend to draw the "younger" Alumnae. They are a lot of fun too! If you have time, you can also volunteer as an advisor for a local chapter. If you can't commit to that, remember Recruitment is in August or September for a lot of chapters or you can chaperone a social. That will definitely make you miss the college days ;) |

I've been trying to go to the "Happy Hour" gatherings, but they usually plan them for a day I already have other committments...it's so frustrating! Hopefully my schedule will open up more soon! |
LA
Chloe,
I am soooooo jealous that you are in LA. I am currently in Minnesota, went to school in Nebraska but I am actually from So Cal. (Figure that out if you can--then let me know) Anyway, I have ALWAYS wanted to see the LA & San Diego area chapters when I am home but either have been to busy to head over, or its summer or winter breaks and I imagine no one is there. Tell me all about you LA experiences in ADPi....I'm curious what the ADPi chapters are like out there. Very different from mine I imagine.... Jen |
