Up & Coming Natioal GLO?

When are you no longer considered an "Up & Coming Natioal GLO"?

My sorority, Phi Sigma Rho, has 17 chapters/colonies, yet people still refer to us as a local sorority just because we do not belong to NPC yet. It seems that we are always explaining that there are other national social sororities other than those who belong to NPC. Does anyone else find themselves in this situation?

i'm not sure to answer of your q? :)

Just out of curiousity, is your Phi Sigma Rho the same as the women's technical sorority, also called Phi Sigma Rho?? If so, would that even be NPC material?

pirepresent,
Yes, I would think Phi Sigma Rho would be NPC material if we decide to apply! Although our initial membership is from engineering majors and some call us an engineering/technical sorority, we are actually a purely social sorority and we do not allow duel membership with NPC or other social sororities.

Since we niche market, we are successful in bringing more women into the Greek system who generally would not consider joining a social sorority due to the workload of their engineering majors. Thus, Phi Sigma Rho helps to bring diversity and new leaders into the Greek system without impairing the recruitment efforts of existing sororities on a campus!
