Will anyone admit to seeing....
Bruce Almighty this weekend?
It brought in more money than The Matrix Reloaded, so a few people saw it. Did you? |
*peeking in*
I haven't seen it (nor the Matrix) but I want to. :D But I will admit to seeing Boat Trip! No words...no words! *running away* |
i'll admit it!
I saw BRUCE ALMIGHTY this weekend and it was worth my $9.00. It's not offensive or as bad as i thought it would be, given the subject matter. The movie is really funny and will DEFINITELY pick you up and allow you to laugh - at yourself - if you're having a bad day (or week, or semester).

Prolly won't see
Bruce Almighty. Jennifer Aniston irritates me and Jim Carrey isn't a great favorite of mine.
 |
Will admit it big time! Mr. Adrienne and I saw it this weekend. We were *howling* as was the rest of the audience.
Not only did we not find it offensive, we were amazed (in a good way) that any Hollywood picture would portray a blatantly positive, traditional message--granted many Christian roots there, but much that could be applied to any major religion. Morgan Freeman as God was genius--he must have watched George Burns' "Oh God" performances a hundred times before applying his own interpretation. IMHO, very refreshing picture--a lot of people had to be on board with the positive message, which itself gives me new hope for the people in la-la land. ;). It would only have taken one malcontent to derail the project and that didn't happen. Two thumbs WAY up! Adrienne (PNAM-2003) :D |
I confess, I watched it! But I didn't pay! Thank Goodness. I ended up having to force more laughs than came naturally. I can actually recall the exact scene where I really laughed(sad). I was disappointed but not really. I didn't expect it to be that funny & it wasn't. Don't waste your money or anyone else's ;)

i saw it and loved it. i will own it when it comes out on video. i laughed and cried. and i don't really cry at movies. i highly suggest seeing it.
shelley j sigma k ps - oh, and i'm a christian and i wasn't offended by any of it in the least bit. |
If Morgan Freeman is in it, it is on my "must see" list. I will wait until it comes on DVD, though. I'm not a theater kind of girl.

Me too

In addition, I fell asleep. |
I haven't seen it, but I proudly say that I want to. However, I won't admit to wanting to pay to see it in the movies. lol
:D |
I saw it i and enjoyed it. It wasn't as funny as i thought it would be...but it was enough to keep me entertained. All i have to say is ...I knew God was Black!! (j/k)
|
It wasn't as good as I thought it would be either, but it was okay. I fell asleep during probably like the last 10 minutes, but that was just cause I was tired. I thought some critics some where would have something to say about God being black. I am pleasantly surprised not to have heard any controversy.

I ADMIT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw it last Saturday night as it poured like heck outside in NYC!!!!!!!! I went with one of my best girlfriends (we're both SINK's; single income, no kids :D :p ) and it was something she'd really wanted to see, so we bus hopped until we found a theater that was playing it and it was worth our $10!!!! We LOAO almost the entire time! :D
