Declaration of Principles
How many of you have read through the Declaration of Principles, broke it down and then went a little deeper than that?
what are your thoughts about this: Paragrapgh #7: We believe that a fraternity should be a brotherhood in conduct as well as in name. "Faith without works is dead." Pledges of brotherhood not succeeded by observance in conduct are as "sounding brass and tinkling cymbal." By the tenor of our daily action we should evidence our devotion to the principles we have solemnly obligated ourselves to observe. What does that mean to you PERSONALLY? (remember, there are NO wrong answers) |
Hmm... brothers may disagree with other brothers or other people but should be resepectful to each other for the sake of TKE. If others see us bickering they will not think our brotherhood is strong.

I was just reading over an old TKE guide got off Ebay (i haev a collection of 4 now) the '94 one had some interesting things about this paragraph...
I Corinthians 13: “If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have no love, I am become as sounding brass and tinkling cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing..." |
I feel that even though we all disagree taking we're built with many different beliefs we can all unite with fraternal love and work together to accomplish anything which makes us a top fraternity and when we accomplish the 25% Challenge set forth by the Grand Prytanis we shall show the greek world that we are not only the biggest but the best
