Pilates

I'm interested in trying out Windsor Pilates, but the tape costs like $50 when tax is added and I want to make sure it really works! Has anybody tried it or knows anybody who's tried it? Help! I need abs! :D

I got my tapes off of Ebay. It was 30.00 and the tapes were brand new, still in the wrap. I looked at the first intro tape and was too lazy to do any more. The other tapes aren't even opened yet. Try checking out Ebay for the tapes or DVDs.

I try to do my Pilates at least three times a week. It really is a great work out. They say that if you do it 10 times, you feel better; 20 times, you look better; and after 30 times, you have a whole new body. I'm trying to hang in there until I hit thirty because I need to flatten this stomach and trim this trunk.

I decided to get the abs and buns edition for Tae-Bo (which I already have). So now I'm going to focus more on those areas and spend half of what I would have on Pilates. I still want to try Pilates though....oh well! Thanks for you responses though!

I've been doing my Pilates at home, but this thread finally motivated me to take the class at my gym today. I think that lady is crazy or possessed or something because that was one of the single most difficult workouts I have ever had. But, I know that it gets easier as your muscles get stronger and I can already feel my abs and thighs tightening up. I am going to stick with it and try to trim two inches off of my waistline.

Have you found Pilates to be more expensive than Tae-Bo? I got my three tapes from BJ's for $20. And, every time I go to Marshall's they always have Pilates tapes, balls, and mats and it never costs more than $12-15.

Sorry to crash, but I found a couple Pilates tapes at Kmart for cheap and they seem to work pretty well....maybe not as good as the $50 ones, but they seem to do the job!:)
