How do You Pay the Bills?

OK most of us are still in college, so what kind of job do you have to help pay the bills?

I'm a hostess/server and work as much as I possibly can. I also use some of my loan money for Delta Zeta related stuff.

I work my butt off at a popular chain bookstore and use finantial aid to help cover my rent and car payment as well as sorority dues. Being poor sucks!!

When I was in college I worked in a hospital full-time making $10.50 an hour which was really nice considering I got paid a lot more than most of my friends.

Last summer I worked at the gap. During the year I worked for our campus police department and now this summer I am working at Pottery Barn Kids. They all pay pretty well. I just like retail because you get discounts! :D

I paid for stuff with the loans I took out through Sallie Mae and then I didn't have a job until now so my parents helped me out by paying my rent and groceries.
Now I work in retail and sell prepaid legal.

I work my a$$ off and put up with stupid people. nuff said. :)

Actually, I am a server for a pretty cool restaurant.

I was a preschool teacher, but it wasn't paying the bills...so I had to make a choice and the bling bling won out.

That breaks my heart. Not that you chose the higher paying job, but that you couldn't teach because it didn't pay enough. That is SO screwed up. No wonder its so hard to find good teachers :(

I worked part time and on vacations in college as a bank teller. I loved the hours and the pay was great - around $7 an hour (this was in the mid eighties)

I lucked out and had an internship all throughout my last three and a half years of college. Result? I graduated with no debt. That didn't seem like much of an accomplishment then, but now that I'm trying to buy a house, I'm glad it worked out that way.

I worked a couple of different jobs during school to pay bills - first in the school library, and then the last two years as a preschool and toddler teacher.

I worked part-time throughout school in a few different jobs. I work a lot more now that i'm saving for grad school and paying back loans.

Yay! I'm so excited to find out that I'm not the only one who is broke! :) It makes me feel better. I seriously paid for my first two years of college with every penny I had saved in my childhood and high school days. So I finally tapped the bank of mommy and daddy, good to know I will only own them about $30,000 when all is said and done.

I just put my two weeks notice in last night. I work for the Health Dept at a teen clinic. I do receptionist stuff, which I love. But I was actually hired to be a gues speaker on health issues in the public schools. In general terms I teach Sex Education.

But that wasn't giving me enough hours, so I went job hunting and someone actually hired me to serve, although I have NEVER waited tables. So I'm crossing my fingers that I start to make some fat cash :)
