The Kelly Clarkson CD
 

I've never been a huge American Idol fan until pretty recently. I have a minor obsession w Clay Aiken...I think he's great.

Anyway, I'm back tracking and I plan on purchasing some of the American Idol back CDs and other releases that have come out of the show. Do any of you guys have the Kelly Clarkson CD?? How is it??

I've heard Ms. Independent, but that's it...should I buy it?

I downloaded it and it was okay. There are a couple of songs that I do like. I would recommend downloading it if you can. If not, wait 'til it goes $7.88 at Wal Mart or something. :)

i personally think miss kelly c is HIGHLY over-rated.....but that's just me.....i heard her new song last night.....eh.

oh gosh.. I am so tired of hearing Kelly Clarkston on the radio... esp. here in the DFW area... i flip radio stations a lot on those metroplex drives and it's driving me bananas!!! a bunch of the radio stations are having contests to win tickets to her show.. "OH GOODY!!!!" :p :p :p

but hey, that's just me :)

But I do like Miss Independant from the radio...and I must admit I Definately sang along to A Moment Like This when it was playing on the radio all the time!

why does 'miss independent' sound like a christina aguilera wannabe song?

I like Kelly, and I bought her CD when it came out. What's Up Lonely is garbage, Miss Independent and title track Thankful are blah. The two original AI songs are also tacked on at the end, can you say UGH?!?!!

However there are a couple songs I absolutely adore (Low, Just Missed the Train) and a few more I quite like (The Trouble with Love Is, Beautiful Disaster and the Tamyra/Kelly duet on You Thought Wrong.) Definitely worth the price of admission :)

I picked up the CD when it came out and I think it's really good. I won't be surprised if the song "Thankful" becomes one of those graduation songs like "these are the days."

I think "Whats up Lonely," "Ms. Independent" and "The Trouble with Love Is" are my favorites.

Kelly has an awesome voice. I end up belting along with her (when I'm alone) and wishing I could sing as well as her.

Ok, I love Kelly and I have heard her new album. "Trouble with love" is good and I also like "Miss Independant" the duet is also great. I don't own it yet, so I can't remember all the other tracks, but I liked it!
I can't say anything bad about my girl Kelly though. I got to meet all of the "idols" when they came to town for their concert and she was by far the sweetest of all of them, and she was totally down to earth. We talked a bit about music and she was so not prima donna (which is more than I can say for some of the rest of the group *coughs*Tamyra*coughs*). I really hope this hole thing goes well for her, but even if it doesn't, I'm sure she's pretty satisfied with what she's gotten so far.

And as for this season, Clay all the way!! I love that big eared dorky thing he's got going on :p

I really like the Miss Independent song but everytime I hear it I think that parts of it sound like Fiona Apple, am I the only one hearing this?

My friend actually has "thankful" and we were listening to in her car the other day. I really like it...she seems like a Fiona Apple, Christina Aguilera type of singer. There were definately songs that I liked much better than others, but in general, I was pretty impressed.

Might pick it up this weekend.
