Dry cleaner closed!
I went to pick up my clothes and found the place locked! Turns out that Friday was the last day.
I called the phone number listed but I think it was switched to someone's personal house. I swear I recognized the girl's voice but then she handed the phone to her dad. When I asked if the number was so and so, he said yes. I said was this xxxx Cleaers, and he said no. A dry cleaner down the street didn't know that my store was closing (tney aren't related) and is trying to help us track down our clothes. He said the problem was registered with the police. I wasn't really that wild about the pantsuit, but darn, I want that dress back! Any ideas? |
I would personally call the police and register the problem with the police, not to mention the Better Business Bureau. You didn't mention if they were part of a chain or a "family" business. If they are part of a chain, I would call the next closest one and see what they can tell you.
I don't blame ya, I would be fuming myself! Talk about burning up some phone lines right now if it was me in your place!!! Let us know what happens! |
If all else fails go to the local newspaper or TV news. That same thing happened in my neighborhood - TWICE - and making a big stink about it was the only way people got their clothes back.
