Starting a collegiate chapter
I will try to make this as short as possible.
I was talking to stmuprncez last night and she told me that one of our graduated chapter sisters is now working at another private university in San Antonio. There is only one social sorority on campus, an NPC sorority. About a year ago, an IFC fraternity began colonization on that campus. It appears that Greek Life is expanding, and since we have a sister working at that university, some of my chapter sisters are very interested in trying to get an A-Phi chapter at this university. I know that the process is a long one. For the past few months, I've been organizing an alumnae chapter and that has been fun. ;) What should we do? Should we make contact with the Student Life office of this university? Should we contact IHQ? If you would rather PM me, feel free to do so. Thanks! |
Curious...
what univ. is this?
|
Hmm..
From alphaphi.org, it seems that you have to contact NPC, not one specific organization, if you're looking to expand.
See "Opportunities for Extension" at http://www.alphaphi.org/alumnae_info/oppforext.html Of course, I've never actually tried to organize a chapter, so... ;) |
Yea..i'm with Ronnie...what Univ is it?
|
It's INCARNATE WORD... yeah yeah they are our rivals but I think it would be fun to try to do and Diane is working there as their director of residence life and since we are pretty close the other night when we were there we were talking about it... seeing what happens maybe not immediately but in the near future. So lets find some more info out!!
