question about my hair
 

i have shoulder length curly hair. it is not surviving very well. i am thinking about getting it cut short like halle berry. i think her style is gourgeous. what do you guys think? do you like her hairstyle?

Okay, I have curly hair, too... and just for the record- DON'T DO IT!!!
Okay, here is why... Halle Barry has GREAT hair, because she has a great STYLIST!! That isn'a real persons hair style, because they can't afford to upkeep it like she can.
With curly hair it is so dry and can become so flyawaywhen you cut it short a lot of times the shafts at the end of your hair will stick out giving you a perpetual cow lick.
At least that was my experience... I felt like a Dennis the Menace clone!

when was the last time you cut it? maybe you just have split ends that need a trim, not necessarily a large cut like that.

i have thick, wavy hair that tends to be dry but i straighten it so it tones it down a bit. i have done a short cut kinda like karen duffy had a really long time ago. it was a bi*** to grow out and it didn't look good on me.

if you curls are frizzed... try a different shampoo or styling product. it worked for me. i was using this cheapy shampoo that said for "dry hair" and i swear it was drying my hair out more.
leave-in conditioners are also a good idea and then drying with a diffuser.

OKAY!! lol. i understand she has a stylist. that is why i was hesitant. my hair is wierd. it is starting to thin out. i dont know if it is because of stress or my perm. if i go straight, there is the likelyhood that it will just break off. it has happened before. i just wish i knew what to do about my hair. i wish i could afford halle's stylist.
